4. Regardless of the type of processing used for solid polycarbonate sheets, the cutting tools or tools used for processing shall not cause any damage to the non machined parts of the sheet, and the cuts shall be as smooth as possible. Minor damage can also lead to severe cracking.
If the curvature ratio of the bent sheet is too small, the mechanical strength and chemical resistance of the sheet will sharply decrease. In order to avoid dangerous stress cracking on the exposed side, the bending radius of polycarbonate solid sheet should not be less than 175 times the thickness of the sheet.
